Mission abroad

St. Peter's partakes in mission work outside the U.S. borders.

Heifer International: Heifer International enables families to turn hunger and poverty into hope and prosperity not by giving them a handout, but by providing the family with animals that are not only a source of food but also a source of income.  So far St. Peter’s have raised the funds to “float” 12 arks. For more information go to http://www.heifer.org.

The Samaritan’s Purse: St. Peter’s made 43 shoeboxes to be sent to children of more than 100 countries around the world. These children may have never received a present before. Samaritan’s purse provides a follow-up course for twelve weeks on the New Testament, where families learn about of God’s love and Jesus. Since it’s beginning in the 1980s, over one million children and their families have come to Christ.

Juarez Mission Trip: For the past 9 years with help from the Episcopal Dioscese, and others St. Peter's has sent mission teams to the border town of Juarez, Mexico.  While there the team members not only build a reliable house for a deserving family but share meals with members of the community.   This great opportunity allows us to be the Manos De Dios (Hands  of God). Many return with a totally new outlook of their lives with God.
